Homo Ludens Foundation launches the project Homo Ludens Platform which creates new digital content and aims to establish a new way of digital communication with its audiences. The project has three main modules:
“Selected Theatre Essays” – a collection of selected materials from the published issues of Homo Ludens Journal in the period of its existence (2000-2021) in English translation. The materials are reviews and research papers on the theatre situation and significant problems of drama and performance. The edition is an overview of a kind of Bulgarian theatre life during the past 20 years.
The digital portal “Theatre Professions” presents the main figures of the theatre process. In short films some famous personalities from Bulgarian theatre tell what the theatre manager’s and theatrologist’s professions is all about, what actor’s, director’s, set designer’s, stage composer’s, choreographer’s, writer-playwright’s, and puppet theatre professionals’ creative work means.
The digital portal “Theatre Dialogues” contains interviews with/lectures by some prominent figures of world theatre. Robert Wilson, Declan Donnellan, Erika Fischer-Lichte, Marvin Carlson, and Philip Auslander present their views on the present-day development of drama and theatre. The lectures are in English and are translated and subtitled in Bulgarian.
