DIGITAL ARCHIVE: THEATRE XX / XXI CENTURY
DIGITAL ARCHIVE: THEATRE XX / XXI CENTURY is a project in which some of the most significant and emblematic figures from the new history of contemporary performing arts are presented. It is a continuation in the digital environment of the traditional column Archive Theater XX century of the magazine “Homo Ludens”.
Its first edition took place between March–July 2021 and it made accessible online recordings of performances by theatre and dance makers who changed the language of theater and dance in the second half of the twentieth and early twenty-first century, as well as additional information and video materials about them and their work. The project included performances by Giorgio Strehler, Bertolt Brecht, Jerzy Grotowski, Robert Wilson and Lee Breuer.
The project is supported by the National Culture Fund.
